That the short time we are unable to make this tour to Salkantay and enjoy the spectacular scenery that this Trek offers you through the snowy Humantay and Salkantay, to finally end visiting the citadel of Machupichu. Throughout this Trek you will be able to observe a large amount of flora and fauna of the area.
Also, if you wish, you can optionally visit the mountain of Waynapicchu or the mountain of Machupicchu, but it has an extra cost of USD $ 20.00 subject to availability.
Day 1: Cusco -Soraypampa-Marco house- Soraypamapa.
The Salkantay tour begins with the pick-up from your hotel at 4:30 a.m. to go to the town of Mollepata, this town will arrive at 7:30 a.m. in the morning,
The first breakfast is not included but in this town you can get a breakfast for 5 or 6 soles, while you are having breakfast we will be preparing the horses that will take 5 kilos of their belongings to our first camp called Soraypampa.
At 7:50 a.m. approximately we will go up in a local bus that will take us to the point called Marco Casa, from where we will start our walk that will be approximately 4 hours in the direction of our first camp Soraypampa, where we will have lunch., After our lunch we will have another 3 hours walk to Humatay lagoon where we can appreciate this snow and its lagoon and then return to our Soraypampa camp where we will spend the first night.
When they arrive at the camp in Soraypampa, the tents will be waiting for their list as well as their dinner and a coca tea. Tonight we spend the night in the tents. (2 people per tent)
Day 2: Soraypampa -Salkantay-Chalway.
The second day we got up at 6:30 a.m. To take our breakfast and start our trek to the Nevado de Salkantay, the first 4 hours are the most difficult, since we will be climbing from 3800. m.s.n.m. up to 4620 m.s.n.m. to reach the snowy Salkantay. This second day lunch is also included.
When we arrive at the Salkantay mountain, the guide will give you an explanation of the importance of this snowed mountain as well as the Andean rituals that the Incas carried out.
At the end of the explanation you will have a free time to take pictures and observe this spectacular landscape and then head to our second camp called Chalway located at 2900 meters above sea level.
This second part of the second day is quieter as we are entering the jungle, when we arrive at our camp in Chalway our tents, dinner and coca tea will be waiting for you ready.
Day 3: Chalway - Beach -Hidroelectrica- Santa Teresa.
On the third day we will get up at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and start our walk to Playa, where we will have lunch and take a local bus that will take us to Hidroeléctrica.
From Hidroeléctrica we will walk about two and a half hours to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will rest in a lodging that has private bathrooms, hot showers and wi-five.
Tonight we will have a dinner at a tourist restaurant where the guide will give you your ticket to Machu Picchu and the return train ticket
Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machupichu - Ollnatytambo - Cusco.
We will get up at 4:30 a.m. to have breakfast and to begin our way in asenso the Machupicchu citadel grabbed, in this way we will be the first to enter Machu Picchu and to be able to appreciate the sunset.
In Machupicchu we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours where our guide will explain and show the main sites that houses Machupicchu.
The guide is only with you from the moment we enter Machupicchu until he finishes his explanation of the citadel of Machupicchu, after this you are free to visit Machupichu.
Remember that your return train departs from the Aguas Calientes train station at 7:00 p.m. in the direction of Ollantaytambo., and when you are in Ollantaytambo our transfer and bus will be waiting for you to bring you back to the city of Cusco arriving at 22:30.
The bus will leave you in the Plaza de San Francisco which is 2 blocks from the Plaza de Armas del Cusco.
